Blogmas 2015

MY FAVORITE MONTH OF THE YEAR ^^

Blogmas day 1: Outlander season 2 teaser and Leicester square Christmas market/fair
I remember this day last year like it was yesterday. Pretty easy one to remember to be fair. It was the world premiere of the Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies!!! One last time. Also, on this day last year I saw the movie Love, Rosie with Sam Claflin and Lily Collins. Happy memories (read more)

Blogmas day 2: 'Fuck the past!', Nancy - Man Up (movie 'review')
So, I mentioned in yesterday's blog post that I work full time and I probably most likely won't be feeling like visiting places in London after a long day sitting at my desk. The occasionally night in is bount to happen and then I would probably write about a trip I made a couple weeks back or something like it. That was the plan for today. (read more)
Blogmas day 3: Home is where my books and movies are.
I swear! I had all the intention of buying Christmas presents for my cousins. I thought I had an idea, until I stood in the store and realised just how stupid it is. Now I have to come with something else... Suggestions? Anyone? I ended up having a little shopping spree for myself though. New trousers (which I needed anyway), a Harry Potter t shirt (which I didn't need) nd a new winter jumper.... (read more)

Blogmas day 4: being nominated for a Liebster Award!
To my surprise this morning I woke to a notification that someone had left a comment on my previous post. Since this only happens once in a blue moon, it is always a moment of excitement, closely followed by a moment of anxiety and stress (what if it is a mean comment?) and then ultimately pure curiousity makes me push that button to read the comment.
Follow blogger Breakfast at Kiki was the person who made the start of my Friday wonderful. She informed that she has nominated me and 9 other bloggers for the Liebster award. Thank you so much for this Kiki! (read more)

Blogmas day 5: "Can we leave the Lord's complexion out of this conversation", mr Kehoe - Brooklyn
Saturday morning was off on a great start... Without electricity in the house. It absolutely baffles me as to where all that money went to. I only topped the meter up on Wednesday! I guess either someone watched a lot of television or they left the lights on. Again. Anyway, eventually someone bother to go out and put new money on the meter. I guess we're fine. For now... Blogmas day 6: Aston Martin DB10, The lady in the Van, Covent Garden, Strand and Trafalgar square
Then, I'd like to go back to Monday 30th November. I went to the Bond in Motion museum as they are one of our clients and I got to see the actual Aston Martin DB10 they used in the lastes Bond picture! My Monday was made, hands down! (read more)
Blogmas day 7: Ooh dear Selfridges, how I covet thee.
After passing the Selfridges window displays for weeks and weeks on end, I finally got around to heading over there after work and snap some pictures. They trully are a piece of art.
Each window display represents a zodiac sign. Very fitting in their theme: Journey to the Stars.
Here are some of my favorites: (read more)

Blogmas day 8: Winter Wonderland, throwing it back to Sunday 29th November
Here it is :) The long anticipated Winter Wonderland post *ahum ahum*. Today was a day where I did literally nothing more then get up, go to work, work, head home, eat and watch Outlander (again). Sooo I'd like to use the occassion to talk about my little trip during the last weekend of November which I would have talked about in my week 47 update, but since Blogmas happened. Well x) (read more)
Blogmas day 9: Hot chocolate at Tiffany's
After work, instead of taking the bus from Oxford Street to London Victoria with a hot chocolate in hand, I walked. Via Bond street. The Christmas lights there are just devine. Same as last year, but that doesn't make them any less pretty. Of course I had my Canon 450D with me so I did a little photoshoot whilst making my way from Oxford street to Picadilly. Mind you, Bond street is a very very long street. (read more)
Blogmas day 10: the Michalaks vlogmas, working late and Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander series)
t will be a very short blog post today without any nice Christmassy pictures I'm afraid. There will be, however, a very nice vlog from one of my favorite YouTubers. As I'm off of work tomorrow Friday 11th and Monday 14th December, I wanted to make sure that all my emails were answered, that any outstanding orders were invoiced or any paid invoices were dispatched. As you do. Worked well until 6.45pm. (read more)
Blogmas day 11: Art of Harry Potter exhibition, A BookUtopia live chat and exploring a bit of Fitzrovia
My first day of my 4 day weekend. I had all the intentions of getting up bright and early to have an amazingly long day. Instead, I woke up dat 10am. I completely missed my alarm clocks! Yes, that is plural. It freaked me out a bit to be fair. Tomorrow it is absolutely out of the question of sleeping through my alarm clocks. I repeat: I cannot sleep through my alarm clocks!! (read more)
Blogmas day 12: an entire day at the Warner Bros Studio tour
What a day, what a DAY! It's like Christmas has come early. This morning I woke up as happy and excited as a child who's been told that Santa Claus has left a puppy under the Christmas tree. I was so freaking happy!
At London Euston I took the train to, yes, Watford Junction^^ That can only mean one thing! WARNER BROS STUDIO TOUR! *takes deep breaths* HELL YEAH! (read more)
Blogmas day 13: A movie marathon (and a happy birthday sis!)
Then, today. I didn't leave the house once. Instead I watched Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and Bridget Jones' Diary. The last one is a bit out of the genre x) I did also take the picture that I promised in yesterday's blog post of The Harry Potter tour passport. I also took the liberty to add some of the other Pottery items that I own x) Behold the pictures below. (read more)
Blogmas day 14: my own Love Actually tour
I started the tour at Notting Hill Gate underground station. From there it is a short walk to St Luke's mew, where Juliet and Peter live. Halfway through the movie, Pete's best friend Mark, gives a declaration of love for Juliet on their doorstep.
From St Luke's Mew I walked to Whiteley's shopping centre. Silly me, I didn't go inside.  There is supposed to be a gigantic Christmas tree which they used at the beginning of '5 weeks to Christmas' in the movie. My next stop was a bit further a way, and although still within walking distance, I took the underground from Queensway to Bond Street. From there I walked to Grosvenor Chapel. In this chapel Peter and Juliet tie the knot and Mark arranges the adorable surprise of a live performance of the cover of the song "All you need is love" by the Beatles. (read more)

Blogmas day 15: Release of 'Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them' trailer announcement!
It's seems that my Potter weekend hasn't come to an end yet! Today, Warner Bros released the announcement trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them starring Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything, Les Misérables, My week with Marilyn), Ezra Miller (The Perks of being a Wallflower), Colin Farrell (Saving mr Banks, Alexander, Minority Report), etc. (read more)
Blogmas day 16: Ice skating at the Natural History Museum. Just because it is possible.
Another throwback blog post I'm afraid. Today just wasn't excited. I worked late again, so I just wanted to get home as soon as possible, which was still 8.30pm. Then I had to take a shower and catch up on all the vlogmasses that I have been enjoying watching this December. I had a few days to catch up on, so that takes some time. And now it is my own turn to upload my day 16 of blogmas :) And it is a throwback one. (read more)
Blogmas day 17: The ultimate Vlogmasses
Then, for today's blogmas I think it might be nice to share with you all the vloggers that are doing Vlogmas and that I'm watching almost religiously every day. Almost ^^ (read more)

Blogmas day 18: Ugly Christmas jumper day at the office
Today is going to be another very short one!
Work this week has been beyond busy. I get in round 8.30am and I don't leave until 6.30pm - 7pm at the earliest. I hope that I'll be able to catch up by Wednesday, eventhough I'll have to catch up again after Christmas break. Aah well... Then, today is apparently Ugly Christmas jumper day. Didn't know it was an official thing, but 18th December was selected as Christmas jumper day here in our office. (read more)

Blogmas day 19: 'exploring' City of London
Anyway, not to beat around the bush: 19th December was a nice and slightly sad day. The reason why it was slightly sad was because it's been exactly one week that I went to the Leavesden studios where I had that most fantastic day (blogmas day 12). The reason why it was a very nice day, was because I went to Spitalfield market. I had never seen the market during Christmas periode. Sure enough I wasn't disappointed as I soon found the gigantic Christmas tree. (read more)

Blogmas day 20: "You're supposed to be the leading lady of your own life, for god's sake!" - Iris, The Holiday
Amanda (Cameron Diaz) is a succesfull business woman living in L.A. She just discovered that her boyfriend was been cheating on her and she rightfully ends the relationship. Meanwhile, Iris (Kate Winslet), who is living in London, tries desperately to get over her ex-boyfriend. Both women decide to swap houses during Christmas break to get away from their day to day live. Little do they know that they'd both meet local men, and yes, guess what happens? Just like Love Actually, this movie is an instant Christmas movie classic.  (read more)
Blogmas day 21: A Christmas tag. Who would have thought, hein?
Due to lack of interesting things I did today, I've decided to do a tag. A bit out of the ordinary for me, but hey, nothing ground breaking either. The only things I did today was: working and buying the final Christmas presents. Now I'm officially DONE (read more)
Blogmas day 22: channelling my inner child
Instead of watching a film, as I usually do when I have a particularly long evening, I listened to a few chapters of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I've been working my way through the series, again, by listening to the audio books. Stephen Fry does an exceptionally good job ^^ But I think I'm going to read the next one though. Anyway, whilst listening to the audio book I channelled my inner child by the means of, yes, colouring! (read more)
Blogmas day 23-24-25: Merry Christmas!!!
I actually did something today that didn't involve working or buy Christmas presents. In fact, my day started at 5.30 in the freaking morning. On Christmas Eve day. Ugh. Well, I only have myself to thank for it as I booked my own Eurostar tickets x) My train left at 8am, but me being me, I wanted to arrive in St Pancras an hour early so I'd have... (read more)
